Last week we asked how long it would take for our readers to break their New Year’s resolutions? The results are in and most of you are fairly determined.

A New Year means a fresh start and a chance to change things in your life. New Year’s resolutions are another interesting tradition that everyone seems to discuss come the festive season. I sadly have given up making New Year resolutions, I always break them no matter how hard I try to keep them.

When making a New Year’s resolution there is a lot to consider and you have to beware of the potential pitfalls. No matter what your New Year’s resolution is it can take a lot of will power to actually follow it through.

In last weeks You Say Poll we asked How long do you think it will take for you to break your New Year’s resolution?

A whopping 54 per cent of you are highly motivated and are sure you won’t break your New Year resolution in 2014. I wonder how many of you have already cracked, if you last the whole year you better share your secret with us.

21 per cent of you are only going to hold out for one day, you probably will have to re-evaluate your resolution making before the start of next year.

17 per cent believe they can hold out for the first week of 2014, how are you guys travelling ? Maybe you have surprised yourself and are still holding strong.

only 8 per cent believe they can hold out a month, come February you will be letting loose and forgetting all about your New Year resolutions.

What is your New Year’s resolution? Have you broken it already?
