Insiders video editor Huw Parkinson has given the debate surrounding section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act the Quentin Tarantino treatment.

Malcolm Turnbull and the Coalition made the news last week with their plans to amend section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act, which currently makes it unlawful to “offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate” anyone because of their race.

The amendment would replace the words “offend”, “insult” and “humiliate” with the word “harass”.

Wondering why this is necessary? We’ll let Malcolm Turnbull explain it to you — and the characters in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.

Watch the clip above, and marvel at how Huw Parkinson is able to give #AusPol yet another cinematic makeover.
