Director Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was one of the worst-reviewed films of the year — but at least he didn’t ruin these classic works of literature.

In his latest clip, YouTuber Patrick Willems imagines what classic stories like The Catcher in the Rye and Sense and Sensibility would look like under the direction of Sucker Punch and Watchmen helmer Zack Snyder.

Cue plenty of slow motion, melodramatic voice-over, crossfit and rain-soaked action.

Willems says the idea came to him when Snyder told The Hollywood Reporter that he was interested in adapting Ayn Rand’s objectivist tome The Fountainhead — which, to be honest, would probably be a good fit with Snyder.

The Giving Tree, though? Not so much…
