Zookeepers captured an escaped zebra at Ueno Zoo last week and it was all caught on camera – but it’s not exactly what you’d expect.

Every year zookeepers at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo organise an escape drill to practice what they would need to do in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency.

This year, a member of the zoo staff escaped wearing a zebra costume. After roaming around free for a while the fake zebra was captured by the drill team using nets, sticks and tranquilizers.

Check out the hilarious video! The team have also done drills involving gorillas and rhinos (fake ones of course) and the act has now become a tourist attraction.
