The Force is strong with this one.

It’s true that most Star Wars fans grew up with the franchise, some of us before we were even out of our cribs — just like this little girl, who’s been filmed singing Darth Vader’s theme (The Imperial March) after waking up from her nap.

Proud dad Jonathan Liu, a writer for the Geek Dad blog who recently watched Star Wars with his daughter for the first time, caught the moment when his toddler started humming John Williams’ famous score on the family’s baby monitor.

“When he (Darth Vader) first appeared on the screen, she started mimicking the sound of his breathing,” Liu wrote on Geek Dad. “When the Imperial March started playing, she stood up and danced! Lately she keeps asking us to sing the “Star Wars Song” — sometimes she means the theme song, but quite often what she really wants to hear is Darth Vader’s theme instead.

“To top it all off, yesterday I caught her on the baby monitor after she woke up from her nap, singing to herself.”

The results are adorable — but Jonathan does have his concerns.

“Yes, the Force is strong with this one. But she seems to be leaning toward the dark side.”
