You’ve heard of tornados but have you heard of a fire tornado?
Fire tornados, otherwise known as firenados are rare occurrences which develop when a flammable liquid covers a water surface. They also need to develop in a particular weather conditions which are able whip the flames into a funnel.
The firenado occurred when lightning struck a Jim Beam warehouse in Kentucky. 800,000 gallons of the liquid spilled out onto a retention pond and subsequently went up in flames.
