Aretha Franklin has shown Adele a little respect by covering Rolling in the Deep.

The 72-year-old legend has released her distinctive take on the modern classic, even spicing things up a little by throwing in a chorus from Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.

The track will be featured on Franklin’s upcoming album of cover songs, Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics, which will be released on Tuesday 21 October.

The album will also feature covers of tracks by Etta James, Gladys Knight and The Pips, Gloria Gaynor, Barbra Streisand, Alicia Keys, Chaka Khan, Dinah Washington, The Supremes and Sinead O’Connor.
