Ever wondered what the final scene of Star Wars would look like without music?

Let’s be honest — John Williams’ iconic score does all the work in the final scene of Star Wars, a fact that has been made clearer than ever by this clip of the scene with the music taken out.

Posted by Youtube user Auralnauts, the clip proves that, when you take Williams’ music out of the equation and leave everything else the same, it basically just looks like Luke, Leia and Han are standing around smiling awkwardly at each other until Chewbacca can’t take it anymore and starts freaking out.

It’s actually hilarious, and we can only hope director George Lucas removes the music from this scene for the film’s next Special Edition.
