Wests Tigers back-rower Bodene Thompson will miss two games and his teammate Sitaleki Akauola one after both pleaded guilty to NRL charges.

Wests Tigers back-rower Bodene Thompson will miss two NRL matches after pleading guilty to a dangerous contact charge.

Teammate Sitaleki Akauola has also accepted a one-game suspension and will sit out Saturday’s away clash with North Queensland in Townsville.

Thompson was cited for his hit on Jesse Bromwich in Monday night’s loss to Melbourne at Campbelltown Stadium, with loading from previous offences contributing to the ban.

Akauola took the early plea to his grade-one shoulder charge on Billy Slater, but has been left with hefty carry-over points.

The Sydney Roosters’ Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (high tackle), Canberra’s Josh Papalii (dangerous contact), Parramatta’s Junior Paulo (dangerous contact) and Manly’s Jesse Sene-Lefao (dangerous contact) will be free to play this weekend after accepting early guilty pleas earlier this week.
