A truck driver in northern NSW and a man driving a sedan near Goulburn have died in separate accidents after their vehicles left the road and hit trees.

A truck driver and another man have died in separate accidents on NSW roads.

A 66-year old from Queensland died when his pantech truck left the Pacific Highway north of Kempsey and hit a tree about 11pm on Monday, police said.

A passing truck driver alerted emergency services but the man was already dead.

Traffic was disrupted for several hours while an investigation continued and the wreckage was cleared.

About 11.30pm a man died when his car crashed at Binalong, about 100km west of Goulburn.

A police officer discovered the wreckage of the vehicle, which hit a tree on Burley Griffin Way at Goonda, but the driver also died at the scene.

He was yet to be formally identified and the road remained closed between Binalong and the Hume Highway while investigations were conducted.

Police are urging anyone with information about the accidents to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
