Clive Palmer says one of his Queensland MPs will ditch his Brisbane-based seat to run against the attorney-general at the next state poll.

A Palmer party MP will abandon his Brisbane-based electorate and try to win the Sunshine Coast seat held by Queensland’s attorney-general.

Carl Judge is currently the member for Yeerongpilly, which includes Brisbane’s inner south.

But Palmer United Party leader Clive Palmer has announced he’s been endorsed to take on Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie in the seat of Kawana.

“Carl Judge has fought a brave battle in the Queensland parliament against the excesses of current Member for Kawana and Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie,” Mr Palmer said.

“Carl Judge will continue to show the courage and strength of character he has displayed so far by taking the battle to Mr Bleijie.”

Mr Palmer said he was certain Mr Judge could win the seat.
