A man has been extradited to Queensland from NSW to face five child sex offences dating back to the 1970s.
A man has been extradited to Queensland, accused of child sex offences dating back to the 1970s.
The 62-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, allegedly committed the acts in Townsville in north Queensland when his victim was aged between eight and 12.
He’s charged with four counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and one count of attempted rape.
Police arrested the man in western Sydney and extradited him to Queensland to face the charges.
He appeared in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday and will next appear on May 19.
