A man charged with kidnapping a three-year-old girl has faced the Bundaberg Magistrates Court again, where he was remanded in custody until June.

The man accused of kidnapping a three-year-old girl from her Queensland home will remain behind bars until a court hearing in June.

Eden James Kane, 45, didn’t apply for bail on Thursday in his second hearing in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court since his arrest on Tuesday night.

The toddler, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was plucked from the lounge room of the home in Childers before dawn last Thursday.

She mysteriously appeared in the showgrounds opposite the house two days later.

Detective Inspector Bruce McNab said Kane, from the neighbouring suburb of South Isis, didn’t know the family.

Kane is charged with abduction and deprivation of liberty, and his case was adjourned until June 12.
