Police say workers on a plantation in south Queensland have found human remains.
Workers have found human remains in a pine plantation in southern Queensland.
The forestry workers made the discovery at Tin Can Bay, north of the Sunshine Coast, about 8am (AEST) on Thursday.
Police are conducting land searches and forensic examinations of the area.
The find is being treated as a new investigation.
However, detectives say they are investigating whether there are any links to known homicide or missing persons investigations.
