Hawthorn’s Brad Sewell could face a delayed start to the AFL season, according to a report.

Hawthorn’s veteran AFL onballer Brad Sewell is in doubt for round one because of a sore hamstring, according to a Channel Seven report on Monday night.

A club spokesperson told AAP the Hawks would release an update on team injuries on Tuesday.

Sewell is a dual premiership player and was club champion in 2007.

The 30-year-old veteran of 190 games fought back from being dropped mid-season in 2013 to be part of the premiership side.

Hawthorn host Brisbane in Launceston in round one on March 22.
