400 guests attended the inaugural Valentine’s Variety Ball at Brisbane’s Tattersall’s Club dressed with Gatsby-inspired flair, raising just short of $70,000 for Variety, the Children’s Charity of Queensland.

Guests were treated to 1920s style with vintage cars, a photobooth, four-piece swing band, professional dancers, and a ladies’ touch-up stand.

Great South East presenter Sofie Formica added extra glamour as MC for the evening, and celebrity auctioneer Andrew Morello had the crowd enthralled with a showstopping auction of unforgettable prizes that were snapped up by eager bidders.

The man behind the event, Tyson Clarke, spent more than a year organising it with Samantha Brooks from TwoCents Group and the Variety team, and says he couldn’t be happier with the evening and the money raised.
