Brisbane City Council’s Recycling Art Competition launched last Friday, showcasing the creative work of 14 Brisbane artists who have turned second-hand treasures from Council’s tip shops into inspiring artworks.

The exhibition offers everything from robots and interactive machines to sculptures and installation artwork, all made using recycled everyday items from Council tip shops and other second-hand stores.

The exhibition and community voting runs from 6 February to 23 March 2015. You get to decide the winning artwork, so make sure you come along and see the exhibition and vote for your favourite piece. The artists are competing to win a share of $4000!
