Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken premiered in Queensland, where most of the film was made, on Sunday.
The heroic true story of Louis Zamperini, Olympic athlete and POW survivor, is brought to life on the silver screen for the first time in the film. The Premiere played host to some of Queensland’s most inspiring local heroes, the men and women who embody the very essence of strength, courage and resilience captured so well in Unbroken, such as Sally Pearson, Hetty Johnston and Karni Liddell.
Unbroken has a very strong connection to Australia, not only because filming took place in locations across Queensland, but because the film’s themes of strength, courage and resilience are evident in so many inspiring Australians.
Unbroken will be released on 15 January, 2015.
