The fillies were out in force on Melbourne Cup Day 2013 at Sake Restaurant & Bar .Head Chef Shinichi Maeda and his team created a sumptuous 9 course banquet share menu including a delicious new dessert,  ’nihon nemesis’  made of a super chocolaty nemesis with green tea gel,  sake jelly, chunky chocolate rocks,  raspberry sorbet and crunchy honeycomb with fresh raspberries. Emcee Victoria Carthew, a sports broadcaster with a taste for fashion hosted the event which included a salon showing by  Easton Pearson, alongside Canturi Jewels and Maryon’s shoes with beauty by Issada and hair by Corcorz.

Guests also enjoyed the Issada Lip Bar for touch-ups through-out the day and each guest received a gift of a 1 hour complimentary makeover voucher. The resident DJ was spinning tunes on the Sake Deck and guests enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of food, fashion and racing by the river.
