Calling all residents with a flair for creativity!
As part of our Team Brisbane initiative to decorate some of our CityCats in Brisbane sporting team colours, we are encouraging residents to come up with a unique livery design that reflects Team Brisbane and pride in our city.
The Team Brisbane CityCat design competition is a fantastic opportunity for residents to get involved in Team Brisbane and see their original artwork emblazoned on one of Council’s iconic CityCats for years to come.
Team Brisbane is all about showing the world how proud we are of our great city, and as part of that, we have introduced a range of new-look CityCat liveries which feature some of the city’s sporting teams including the Queensland Firebirds, Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane Lions and Brisbane Bandits.
This is an opportunity for the people of Brisbane to design the next #teambne CityCat, which is one of nine vessels to be re-skinned as part of the Team Brisbane initiative by mid-2016.
Everyone can get involved in our Team Brisbane initiative, and the CityCat design competition is a unique way for residents to showcase their creative talent by designing an original, eye-catching CityCat wrap to support our vision of Brisbane as a vibrant, creative city.
Brisbane residents can each submit one original design via Council’s website or via post, with the winning design to be selected by a panel of judges including Kris Stewart, Artistic Director at Brisbane Powerhouse and Jodie Powell, Community Editor at Quest Community Newspapers.
I encourage all residents to reflect on what Brisbane means to them over the coming weeks, flex their creative muscles and come up with a strong, inspiring CityCat design that features the words ‘Team Brisbane’, fostering a real sense of community pride in our city.
Entries are open until 15 January, 2016.
The winning entry will be announced on 3 February 2016 and a CityCat will be unveiled with the new customised wrap on 19 February 2016.
