A new professional business destination with a swanky New York style lounge bar and a sophisticated concierge service has arrived in Brisbane’s CBD.

Situated on street level at the corner of Adelaide and Macrossan Street, The Corner Office is unlike anything else in Australia, providing a suite of professional facilities for members including places to hold meetings and corporate catch ups, places to entertain clients and hold functions and places to just work in.

Owners Lisa Moricz and Robin Maini said the concept was born a few years ago after realising there weren’t many places around where professionals could conduct meetings and corporate gatherings in a quiet and professional environment.

“We have travelled a lot of work over the years and it’s always a challenge to have a place where you can sort of call your own, where you can do business or catch up with associates and has a great consistent service,” Lisa says.

“I’ve found that shared places, serviced offices and cafes just didn’t give me what I needed when meeting with clients, suppliers and other contacts. The spaces were either too informal, noisy or expensive and never gave me the confidence that it was going to be a positive experience.”

The Corner Office is only open to 300 members, who can use the facilities as much as they need to by paying a monthly fee.

“It’s basically like a gym membership for business professionals,” Robin says.

“The idea is that you can use all the amenities and everything is included in the one membership price, except if you want a drink from the bar.”

Robin says The Corner Office is not selective and caters to everyone.

“It’s a great atmosphere, very relaxed, warm and luxurious but not over the top,” he says.

“We’ve found a lot of people who work from home like to use the space, as well as people from law firms and business professionals living and working in the suburbs who have meetings in the city. It also caters for those people who just don’t have the room in their own office.”

The Corner Office is a business professionals dream with literally everything thought of, down to the smallest of detail.

There is a TV in every room with state of the art video, audio and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a concierge at your service.

“Our concierge team means we can arrange transportation for you, ensure your meetings go smoothly, your guests are pampered and we will make that last minute booking at one of the city’s top restaurants,” Robin says.

They even thought of suppling men’s and women’s hygiene products, extra men’s shirts and pant hoses just in case you have an accident before an important meeting. Plus, the washrooms are even designed so women don’t have to put their purses on the floor. Now that’s convenience!

The Corner office also has a fully licensed bar offering fancy wines and spirits at a reasonable price.

“People don’t always want to just have a meeting or pull up a stool and plug in their laptop. They want to entertain and they want to be connected to the city like a local,” Robin says.

“We want to encourage people to stick around after the meetings and just chill out at the bar and have a good time.”

The Corner Office is located on the corner of Adelaide and Macrossan Street in Brisbane’s CBD.
