QUT is gearing up for their final Indie 100 recording marathon extravaganza, so if you’ve got musical talent this is your time to shine.
For the last time, QUT’s Independent Music Project is on the hunt for 72 of South East Queensland’s best up and coming artists and songwriters to record 100 songs in 100 hours.
The 2015 Indie 100 will be the final chance for artists to participate in what has become known as a groundbreaking industry initiative.
Recording at QUT’S iconic Gasworks Studio in Newstead, the selected artists will be given the opportunity to work with some of the best producers in South East Queensland, including ARIA award winner Lachlan (Magoo) Gould.
Selected artists may also be eligible to apply for the new QUT Master of Fine Arts program.
Songs from the event will be sent for broadcast consideration to local, national and international radio stations.
Previous artists who found their musical feet following performing in the Indie 100 include Jungle Giants, Sahara Beck, Michelle Xen, Art of Sleeping, The Belligerents, Hannah Rosa and Grand Pavillion.
Applications are open on the Independent Music Project website from March 16 to April 7.
