From door to door sales man to finalist in the International Entrepreneur X-Factor
Local Brisbane entrepreneur Preetesh Morar has made the finals for the International Entrepreneur X-Factor with his new business My Legado, which incorporates his passion for sports and business.
My Legado is Spanish for ‘my legacy’ and the business focuses on teaching professional athletes how to build their legacy.
Preetesh, or Pretsel as he is better known says he was sick of seeing professional sports people making the news more for their ‘off the field’ antics than actual game performance.
He was inspired to change the face of professional sport for all parties involved, aiming to teach athletes the skills businesses use to create a brand and utilise the latest online technologies and social media to market themselves and add values to their sponsors and fans.
“So many professional sports stars do not understand how to market themselves, and make the most of the exposure they gain, and are often left with nothing at the end of their career.
“I could not think of a better legacy to leave behind than a generation of sports stars who know how to add value to their fans and sponsors and step up the responsibility of being a role model,” Pretsel says.
Pretsel is already working with some of Australia’s top athletes such as Anna Flannigan, International Young Hockey Player of the Year Emma McCarthy, international rowers and members from the Brisbane Roar.
Brisbane’s Preetesh Morar is competing against 19 other International Entrepreneur X-Factor finalists, with voting now open.
