X Factor winner Dami Im shared details about her new album and upcoming Brisbane concert today with Laura Brodnik.

X Factor winner Dami Im was back on her home turf today, flying high after her debut single Alive entered the ARIA Singles Chart at number one this week. The Brisbane girl has been on a whirlwind promotional tour since her triumphant win, performing on Sunrise and Dancing with the Stars in-between meeting her devoted fans who labelled themselves The Dami Army during her winning streak on the hit reality show.

Dami’s debut album Alive will be released this Friday and when I caught up with the singer today at James Street the bubbly star said she couldn’t wait for her fans to see what she has been working on.

“The album has my new song Alive on it but it also has a lot of the songs that I performed on the show and really loved,” she said. “So you’ll be able to hear Roar, Purple Rain, Wrecking Ball and Bridge Over Troubled Water but they have all been properly recorded in the studio so they are very different to the live shows where I was singing while running around on stage.”

Dami and fellow X Factor contestants Taylor Henderson, Jai Waetford, Third D3gree and Jiordan Tolli will perform a selection of their favorite songs from their time on the show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday 29 November.
