Catch festival favourite Le Gateau Chocolat and UK cabaret icon Jonny Woo as they drag up Broadway’s greatest hits this January.

If you’re in the mood for an evening of unadulterated musical theatre nonsense, don’t miss A Night at the Musicals when it shows at the Powerhouse from January 25 to 29. Think Gypsy, Grease, Annie, Les Miserables and the Lion King all rolled into one big fishnet-clad show.

Watch the iconic Le Gateau Chocolat and Jonny Woo perform a back catalogue of the world’s most beloved ballads, musical numbers, delightful duets and somewhat slaughtered show tunes.

Hilarious hijinks and shady shenanigans will abound as the duo “Les Misér-massacre” all the musicals you know and love (and some you don’t). There will be show stoppers, curtain-raisers and no doubt a few eyebrow raisers as the show unfolds.

It’s like reading a hilariously tortured love letter to the glorious genre of musical theatre. A Night at the Musicals is certainly not a night you will forget in a hurry!

The show is presented by Strut & Fret Production House as part of MELT 2017: A Celebration of Queer Arts and Culture.
