The Brightside’s Star Wars Lazer Tag is going to be the biggest party since Endor.

It is a period of civil unrest, and a group of Rebellious Party Lords are getting loose on Warner Street, devising a plan to throw a party of epic proportions…

If you’ve always loved Star Wars and, uh, lasers — and honestly, it seems like there’d be plenty of crossover on that particular Venn diagram — then you’ll love Star Wars Lazer Tag at The Brightside, which is being billed as the biggest event this side of the Dagobah System.

In what can only be described as an ambitious move, The Brightside crew have decided to throw a fully themed, fully kitted-out Star Wars laser tag contest in their car park. This is your chance to zap your way to infamy, but remember — no disintegrations.

Because this is The Brightside, they’ve got plenty of other activities planned, too. For starters, you can wear your finest Stormtrooper armour, Ewok fur or royal Alderaanian regalia for your chance to win the Best Dressed comp.

You can even score yourself a spray-on Star Wars tattoo at the Tattooine Parlour. See what they did there?

Get in early (7pm, specifically) for an epic Star Wars trivia contest — it’s free to play and you can win great prizes to help kit you out for the rest of the night.

Sadly, the Max Rebo Band weren’t available to headline the event, but British mathcore band Rolo Tomassi have stepped up in their absence. Melbourne’s Belle Haven will support.

Star Wars Lazer Tag will be held at The Brightside (27 Warner Street, Fortitude Valley) this Saturday 24 September from 7pm.

You must be at least 18 years old to enter, and door staff will need to see your identification, no matter what Jedi mind tricks you try to pull on them.
