The Boss is back. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced their Summer ’17 Australian tour.
Springsteen and the E Street Band will be calling Australia and New Zealand home for a whole month, with nine shows announced so far (and plenty of nights left over for more).
Oz rockers Jet will be reforming for the Melbourne, Hanging Rock, Hunter Valley, Christchurch and Auckland shows, but in Brisbane, Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform with no special guests — which means conditions are perfect for one of their signature marathon sets.
Springsteen was last in Australia in 2014 for the High Hopes tour. He hasn’t released any new music since then, but his mammoth 500-page autobiography, Born To Run, will be released on Tuesday 27 September, along with its audio companion, Chapter And Verse, on Friday 23 September.
Chapter And Verse will feature 18 tracks from across Springsteen’s career, including five previously unreleased songs.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 14 February.
A Frontier Members pre-sale will run from Tuesday 20 September to Wednesday 21 September (ending earlier if pre-sale allocation is exhausted); tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday 23 September at frontiertouring.com/brucespringsteen.
