Wildly popular US comedian Hannibal Buress will bring his new stand-up comedy tour, The Hannibal Montanabal Experience, to Brisbane in December.

The tour follows Buress’ third hour-long stand-up special, Comedy Camisado, as well as scene-stealing appearances in films like Bad Neighboursand Bad Neighbours 2, The Nice Guys and The Secret Life of Pets.

An Emmy and Writers Guild of America Award nominee, Buress has been hailed as one of the most “supremely gifted and respected comics around” by The New York Times.

He’s been a writer for Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, and makes regular appearances on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Late Night With Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and The Late Late Show With James Corden.

He’s also a cast member on Comedy Central’s Broad City, and the co-host of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, and he’ll soon appear in the upcoming film version of Baywatch and Marvel’s heavily anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Of course, Buress is also known for his standup routine about Bill Cosby that drew widespread attention to sexual assault allegations that had been made against Cosby in the past — but, as Buress told the Television Critics Association press tour earlier this year, “I do a lot of other s**t… That’s just one joke people took and really ran with it.”

Hannibal Buress will play The Tivoli on Monday 5 December. Tickets are on sale now at ticketmaster.com.au, but they’re sure to sell out fast.
