Provocative comedian Margaret Cho is bringing The Psycho Tour to Brisbane.

Never one to shy away from a taboo topic, there are literally no subjects that Cho considers off limits for her socially aware, no-holds-barred brand of comedy.

An accomplished performer in all formats, Cho has conquered the worlds of film, television, books, music and theatre. Having been nominated for three Grammy Awards and one Emmy Award, her comedy tours consistently sell out around the world.

The film and DVD releases of Cho’s comedy shows have broken records, with I’m The One That I Want still holding the title for Most Money Grossed Per Print for an independent film.

Cho has also made her mark in television, including six seasons of Drop Dead Diva. This year she’s a special guest host on E’s Fashion Police, and is also currently developing Highland, an hour-long dramedy for Amazon about a woman who, after completing a court-ordered rehab, gets a chance to start over by moving in with her dysfunctional family who run a pot dispensary.

Cho uses her platform to serve as an activist for anti-racism, anti-bullying, homelessness and gay rights campaigns. From her activism to her music to her stand-up, she honest, forthright, passionate, uproarious, raucous, bold and unyielding.

Margaret Cho will appear at The Tivoli (52 Costin Street, Fortitude Valley) on Thursday 8 September. Tickets are available now at
