Looking for a great afternoon of live Aussie music? Look no further! Coming back bigger and better in its third year running, this year’s Stones Corner Festival will come alive on Sunday 29 May 29.

Sponsored by the Stones Corner Hotel and growing in popularity over the last few years, the Stones Corner Festival has fast become a SEQ destination street festival.

Headlining the festival will be ARIA Award winners, Taxiride on their comeback tour with triple ARIA Award winners, The Badloves. Followed by some great Brisbane bands, Halfway and Mexico City and Brisbane locals Tyrone Noonan (former frontman of ARIA Award winning band, george) and Triple J Unearthed artist, Donnelle Brooks.

With lots of activities for everyone, including a stellar live music line-up, some of Australia’s best craft beer and cider brewers and food trucks to rival the most authentic international street foods, this family-friendly, neighbourhood street festival supports local businesses and features some of the unique aspects of this growing area of Brisbane.

With the popularity explosion of craft beer in Brisbane and Australia over the last five years, The Stones Corner Festival is excited to showcase some of Australia’s best craft beer and cider breweries at the 2016 festival. Byron Bay’s Stone & Wood, the James Squires range and Matilda Bay’s offerings have become household names in the craft beer stakes. Also growing in popularity are some of the smaller Aussie breweries, creating big waves with their independent offerings with support from some of the bigger players.

With authentic international street food to the people of Brisbane, The World Food Markets will be returning with their diverse range of food trucks and stalls to The Stones Corner Festival in 2016.

There will be a street market as part of the festival, with over 100 stalls, run by Saber Events and will include a range of stallholders including: gifts, homewares, art, craft, speciality food, ice cream, sweets, entertainment: kids performances, face painting, jumping castle, petting zoo, arts and craft, books, jewellery, fashion, plants and children’s toys.

The Stones Corner Festival is also proud to once again support the MND and Me Foundation in 2016. The 2015 festival saw $7,500 raised for this incredible charity, whose mission is to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and its’ impact on the community. This year the festival aims to surpass the previous years efforts and raise even more funds and awareness, for this valuable Queensland charity.
