Listen up, muggles — Brisbane will play host to a market devoted entirely to Harry Potter this weekend.
Paddington’s Pastel Palace, a ‘kawaii’ boutique that bills itself as a little slice of Harajuku in Brisbane, is preparing to host an Evening at Hogwarts this Saturday.
You’ll be able to collect all the necessary equipment you’ll need for the start of term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, or just a few things to spruce up your boring old Muggle house, including Potter-inspired art, candles, soaps and accessories, as well as merch and memorabilia from the movies. You might even find a Horcrux or two.
There’ll also be a costume competition and magical trivia, so you better know your Philosopher’s Stone from your Goblet of Fire.
Magical merchants at this pop-up Diagon Alley will include Pastel Pixie, Kareki Art, Bonnie’s Bathouse, Enchanted Light and Ruby Kawaii. Most vendors will have credit card facilities, but it might not be a bad idea to bring a few Galleons just in case.
The market will take place at the BrisWest Centre Paddington (132 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington) this Saturday 26 March from 1:30pm to 7pm. Entry is free, so just turn up and have fun!
