You’ll be able to take the kids on a mammoth adventure these school holidays when Ice Age Live! comes to Brisbane.

Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure combines ice skating, aerial arts, puppetry and film to tell a new story based on the popular animated film franchise.

Thw show debuted at Wembley Arena in London in November 2012, and has since visited 65 cities across 25 countries, selling over half a million tickets.

The truly international show features 40 performers from 21 countries, ranging from ice skaters to acrobats, aerial artists, dancers and actors.

“There would be no show without the performers,” says Ice Age Live! co-creator Michael Curry (of Cirque du Soleil and Walt Disney’s The Lion King fame).

“They are the heart and energy of the spectacle. We were excited to combine high level ice skating with high level circus and dance. The dedication of these performers is one of the highlights in my relationship to the show.”

Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure is co-directed by Guy Caron, the man behind Cirque du Soleil productions Ka and Dralion, with story, music and lyrics created by Cirque du Soleil veterans Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson.

Michael Berg, who co-wrote some of the Ice Age films, supervises character dialogue. Character visualisation design is headed by co-director Michael Curry.
