QPAC’s Green Jam will sound a little different this year, as they welcome a whole lot of new flavours to the popular program.
Running every Friday on QPAC’s Melbourne Street Green from 5.30pm, the ever popular Green Jam Sessions feature a huge line-up of both established and emerging artists. But this year they’re mixing it up with a range of different genres, including pop, surf rock and b-bop to jazz, classical hybrid and Indigenous.
The new Green Jam program will also aim to complement the Centre’s in-theatre program, featuring free live music. So, if you’re going along to see a performance, pop in early, grab a drink and enjoy the music before you head into the theatre.
Green Jam’s food and beverage offerings are also changing – with an array of tasty new flavours.
A new bar snacks will satisfy those who want a light nibble and for those who want something more substantial, the QPAC chefs will be serving up a rotating menu of street food inspired by the tastes and smells of Asia. Try the Sticky Char Siu Pork Belly Steam Bun Sliders or the Teriyaki Chicken and a signature Basil Mint and Lemon Cocktail. Drool!
Friday afternoon drinks will feature, for the first time, a specially created Green Jam cocktail while locals Burleigh Brewing Co. will return offering beer on tap.
So don’t miss out on the new and improved Green Jam; when the Melbourne Street Green comes alive with music and lights! It’s the perfect location to end the working week!
QPAC’s Melbourne Street Green is located across the road from South Brisbane’s bus and train stations.
