Monty Python stars John Cleese and Eric Idle will perform in Brisbane early next year – as part of their Australian tour.
Their new live show, John Cleese & Eric Idle: Together Again At Last…For The Very First Time will be performed all around the country early next year, including shows at Jupiters Theatre on the Gold Coast and Brisbane’s Convention Centre in February.
If you enjoyed Faulty Towers, Spamalot or Monty Python, you’ll definitely be in for a treat with this live on-stage performance.
The show will be a blend of storytelling, politically incorrect comedy, musical numbers, aquatic juggling (we’re just as confused about that one as you are) and an audience Q&A to make each performance unique – and the pair say they can’t wait for it.
“Eric and I had huge fun touring the States in October and now we can bring our show to the friendliest people in the world,” John says.
“No one show will be the same and all of them will annoy the politically correct.”
Eric says having enjoyed the World Tour of Florida, the pair were looking for somewhere else large aquatic reptiles of the sub family Crocodylinae thrived.
“The Nile was booked, so we are coming to Australia,” he says.
“Having once married a Sheila and as the father of a half Australian son I look forward to touring one of my all-time favourite places.”
You can catch the show at Jupiters Theatre on the Gold Coast on Thursday 25 February or at the Convention Centre in Brisbane on Saturday 27 February. For more information or for tickets visit Ticketek.
