As International Talk Like a Pirate Day draws near, Club Greenslopes is celebrating the occasion with a jam-packed day of adventure for those who are itching to channel their swashbucklin’ inner pirate.

On Saturday 19 September, pop your tricorne on, unsheathe your pointiest sword and get ready for a day of live music, burlesque, barefoot bowls, market stalls, drinks to put hairs on your chest and some mighty fine grub!

Last year’s instalment was a great success with some 250 eager pirates in attendance, so if that’s any indication, this year’s festival is set to be a real good’un!

The frivolities are for a great cause, me hearties, because all door profits from the day will be donated to BeyondBlue and the ever-important battle against depression.

Save the date, set sail for the club and enjoy Pirate Fest 2015!

The line-up of musicians providing a steady stream of crackin’ good tunes is bursting with talent. The list includes:

The Toxic Garden Gnomes
Kingston Stompers
Common Deers
Skeleton Quay
The Disgruntled Taxpayers
The Dickersons
Casey Fogg Band
The IV
Sean Gagen

Tickets will be sold on the door for $10 each. The day is an all-ages event, provided the little tackers are accompanied by their captain (or caregiver) upon entrance.

Costumes are encouraged, with prizes given to those best dressed, so raid your wardrobe for some serious sea-farin’ garb!

Club Greenslopes’ 2015 Pirate Fest is one for anybody who likes good music, good food, exciting entertainment and a rollicking great time!
