An innovative way to experience opera is coming to Cloudland this month.

Cloud Song is a brand new Opera Queensland (OperaQ) event coming to Cloudland this March. You’ll be able to roam between pop-up performances held in the nooks and crannies of Cloudland, which celebrate the design of the venue.

The stylish Sunday session will see guests sip on champagne and indulge in hors d’oeuvres, while immersed in an unconventional series of pop-up performances.

OperaQ Artistic Director Lindy Hume says the line-up will remain a surprise until Cloudland’s doors open on the day.

“Cloud Song is a brand new event designed to take the audience on a journey like no other, we are keeping the program under wraps so that each moment can unfold by surprise,” Ms Hume says.

“We have curated a series of magical encounters where digital music collides with live performance.

“We want to take opera out of its comfort zone and entice people who would not dream of going into a lyric theatre to have their first opera experience in a fun, relaxed environment.”

The event will take place on March 29. Tickets are $120 and include a canapés and beverage package.
