There’s something for everyone at Brisbane’s biggest festival celebration of Asian culture!

The extremely popular BrisAsia Festival returns from January 31 to February 28 for what promises to be a dynamic celebration of everything Asia, from Taiko drumming to guided nature walks in the Boondall Wetlands.

With events spanning across the entire city, visitors can enjoy live music and performances, art exhibitions, short film screenings, food stalls, games nights, cooking classes and much, much more.

Launching in Reddacliff Place is a free opening night party front-lined by critically acclaimed Australian Band Bombay Royale, with their unique vintage Bollywood/ Disco and funk sound. An array of Brisbane’s best Asian Food Trucks will be available for visitors to sample a range of different cuisines.

Incorporating the Chinese Lunar New Year festivities, the Chinatown Mall will come to life with performances, markets and firecracker displays.

Back by popular demand are signature events including Taste of Asia, run by celebrity chef Adam Liaw featuring his favourite recipes for Asian comfort food.

Another unique and rare opportunity on the agenda is the ’Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion’ exhibition held at GoMa, showcasing over 100 exquisite creations of Japanese fashion designers from the early 1980′s to today.

Contributing to Brisbane’s growing reputation as a New World City that boasts multiculturalism, vibrance and creativity, BrisAsia Festival promises to deliver a smorgasbord of unique experiences that encapsulate Asian culture.
