The Brisbane Twilight Markets are back this February. An initiative of Brisbane City Council, the Twilight Markets offer a unique shopping experience.

If you love a good bargain, want to support local business or just want to experience shopping under the stars in the heart of Brisbane, the BrisStyle Twilight Markets are for you.

Kelly-Anne Mott, Market and Events Co-ordinator for BrisStyle, says the markets have grown rapidly in popularity since their start in 2010.

“Brisbane City Council approached BrisStyle to help enliven King George Square after its renovation. Since then, and with the continued support of the Council, BrisStyle has hosted markets in the square every other month.”

At the markets shoppers can look forward to an eclectic mix of over 80 different marketeers. The stalls will host local artists and artisans selling their handmade wares. Everything from candles, nail polish, original art, clothing, jewellery, ceramics, homewares, children’s items and more will be on display.

Ms Mott says there is something for everyone at the markets.

“As all of our sellers create unique handmade items, there is always something different to see — there are no mass-produced items appearing here! With live music, and on-site cafe and restaurant and a cool market vibe under the twinkling City lights, The Brisbane Twilight Market is a unique Brisbane experience.”

Who could ask for more? Shopping, city lights, live music and food; the Brisbane Twilight Markets cater for all. And let’s face it, with the heat in Brisbane at the moment, this is the perfect time to get your market fix without working up a sweat under the summer sun.

The Brisbane Twilight Markets are located in King George Square. The first market for the year will be held on February 20. Check out our Event Guide for more information.
