A very different interpretation of the bard’s work is coming to Brisbane Arts Theatre.

Do you think you know your Shakespeare? Well’ think again, because Brisbane Arts Theatre are about to turn your knowledge on its head.

Their new show, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is Shakespeareesque, but not as the bard ever intended. Instead, it’s a bold, speedy, irreverent romp through all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays but without the language barriers or the period hurdles, as three brave actors out-Python Monty!

As an extra theatrical bonus, the audience are set to be very much a part of the whole side-splitting rollercoaster ride. A ride that involves pop culture, audience participation and probably the fastest, funniest Hamlet you’re ever likely to see.

Just be warned, sometimes even the actors themselves don’t know what to expect.
