It’s been a bumper year for the 2014 4KQ Christmas Lights competition, and entries have now closed.
Over the next month, the judges will be working hard visiting all the entrants and trying to narrow it down to one winner per category.
For the first time ever, the 4KQ Christmas Lights competition has its very own mobile application complete with winners listing, interactive map and photo gallery. The app is now available for download from 4kq.com.au; be sure to have the app before 4 December so you can find out who wins the 2014 competition.
Laurel Edwards from The 4KQ Breakfast Show with Laurel, Gary and Mark says it is so exciting to see the amount of Christmas spirit out there.
“It’s such an exciting time for us and we love that the people of Brisbane — like us — love the 4KQ Christmas Lights competition and truly get behind it,” she says.
Laurel’s co-host Mark Hine agrees. “This is the 4KQ Christmas Lights 28th year and it has become a tourist attraction.”
There are ten categories including: Best residential north, south, east and west; best themed display; best synchronized lights and music display; best new entrant; Brisbane’s best lighting display; best church or community group; best townhouse/unit or apartment; commercial a (big business); commercial b (small business) and best neighbourhood display.
From Thursday 4 December the public viewing will commence as houses, businesses and neighbourhoods come alive with colour and activity!
So get your Christmas spirit on, mark it in the diary and get ready to join in for another fantastic year.
