Supanova Pop Culture Expo is rolling out the royalty, adding Jack Gleeson — aka Joffrey Baratheon — to the bill.

As the petulant and arrogant King Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones, Gleeson became the man that everybody loves to hate.

Gleeson recently retired from acting at the height of his infamy to focus on his university studies (he’s a philosophy and theology man), so this rare public appearance is quite a coup for Supanova organisers.

Gleeson isn’t the only new addition to the bill. He’ll be joined by Peter Cullen, best known as the unmistakable voice of Optimus Prime. Cullen played the Autobot leader in the ’80s animated series and film, and returned to the role for Michael Bay’s live action trilogy.

A prolific voice actor, Cullen has also appeared in Winnie The Pooh, Rainbow Brite, Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Ghostbusters and Rambo: The Force of Freedom. He also provided the alien sounds of Predator in the 1987 film.

Jack and Peter will join the likes of Manu Bennett (Arrow), Oliver and James Phelps (Harry Potter), Neve McIntosh (Doctor Who), Zach Galligan (Gremlins), legendary comic book artist Arthur Adams and more at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 28-30.
