From pop up stalls to live music, the Fortitude Valley Markets are set to make a triumphant return.
The Fortitude Valley Markets are set to be relaunched in just a matter of weeks, providing Brisbane with a new mecca of fashion and food.
With a renewed focus on local arts, craft and food the new Fortitude Valley Markets will feature a range of pop up shops, local designers, art, sculpture, fashion, homewares, collectibles, food stalls and live music. The Fortitude Valley Markets are one of Brisbane’s oldest weekend markets, having been open each weekend since 1992.
The beloved weekend event will be re-launched on Saturday 11 October and will be initially opened as Saturday and Sunday daytime markets in both the Brunswick Street Mall and Chinatown Mall. However, on 28 November market goers will see the event extended to include a night market trading on Friday and Saturday nights.
The launch of the weekend markets coincides Brisbane City Council’s completion of the $4 million redevelopment of the area. The redevelopment has sought to not only tidy up the mall, but change the perception of the mall from a night hot spot to a vibrant retail and foodie heaven.
Like the Eat Street Markets, the Fortitude Valley markets aim to continue the incredible rise of exciting new culinary and innovative shopping experiences in Brisbane.
