Just in case there wasn’t enough nudity for you in Game of Thrones already, the popular show has spawned a burlesque parody — and it’s on its way to Brisbane.

Winter is coming, but that won’t stop the girls and guys of Dames of Throne from wearing very little indeed.

The newest burlesque show to hit Brisbane is inspired by the stories and people of Westeros, the fictional world depicted in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series and it’s accompanying TV show Game of Thrones. According to the Dames of Throne cast and crew, this show is set to light a fire in people’s hearts hotter than wildfire.

The parody production comes from the mind of Russall S. Beattie, creator of The Empire Strips Back and the Batman Follies of 192, and is sure to have both Game of Thrones die-hard fans and non-fans alike enthralled with its raunchy antics.

However, organisers have been quick to point out that this is a parody production and is not sponsored, endorsed by or affiliated with George R. R. Martin, HBO or any of its subsidiaries. Although we’re sure they’d like the production if they saw it.

The Dames of Throne Burlesque Show will play at Brisbane Powerhouse on Friday 3 October. For more information, check out our event guide.
