For the first time, John Farnham and The Seekers will come together for a collaborative performance not to be missed.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council has announced that for the first time, John Farnham will perform alongside The Seekers at this year’s Decades Festival.

The festival, which celebrates the best fashion, cars and music of the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, will play host to the collaborative performance not to be missed by Aussie music fans.

With careers spanning more than a century collectively, the Australian music legends will draw from their timeless catalogue of local and international hits and huge international fame to bring viewers a one-off, one day only concert.

John Farnham’s manager, Glenn Wheatley, says it’s appropriate that John Farnham and The Seekers are playing the Decades Festival, because that’s about how long it’s taken to get them together.

“This will be history in the making and one opportunity you won’t want to miss,” Mr Wheatley says.

Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Allan Sutherland says there’s was no better way to launch the first year of the Decades Festival than by securing two of Australia’s biggest musical acts.

“The Seekers and John Farnham are music royalty and have provided the soundtrack to most Australian’s lives. We are honoured to provide this one-off concert experience right here in the Moreton Bay Region.”

The Seekers are also excited to be a part of this exciting event, with double bass player, Athol Guy, saying: “The Seekers and John both began our careers in the Sixties, and five decades later, we’re all still standing! We’re honoured to include this landmark concert in our ‘Golden Jubilee’ celebration.”

The Decades Festival’s entertainment line-up also includes Tim Campbell, The Hi Boys, Ezra Lee and Pat Capocci.

You can catch all these acts, and much more, on October 18 at the Pine Rivers Park Amphitheatre.

General admission is $75, seated tickets $85, and kids under three are admitted for free. For more info, visit our event guide.
