There will be fun activities for the kids and great prizes to win at bmag’s annual race day…
The annual bmag race day will be on again on Saturday 5 July at Eagle Farm Racecourse with a Teddy Bears’ Picnic theme that will be fun for the whole family.
The day includes some great winter racing action, such as the bmag Queensland Cup which offers prize money of $150,000. General admission is $15 for adults and children and teenagers under the age of 18 will be admitted free.
Funds raised on the day will benefit the Zig Zag Foundation to assist sick, at risk and underprivileged children.
Families can buy a picnic package which includes a lunch hamper and their entry ticket, and enjoy refreshments on a staked-out picnic blanket on the lawn. The lunch hampers contain a selection of baguettes, a cheese platter with crackers and a choice of piccolo wine or beer for two adults, and Tiny Teddy chocolate cakes, sandwiches and juice poppers for two children.
The hampers are $65 each including entry. Tickets are available at the gate or online (check gate times prior to the event).
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic will include lots of activities for kids, including a junior Fashions on the Field competition where children can show off their race wear or their favourite costumes.
Scouts will also be looking for the Best Dressed Teddy Bear in the Furry Fashions on the Field competition and free activities include rides and face painting, while costumed characters roam the grounds.
