These school holidays, you can pick up some cats, mice, puppies and parrots that you won’t have to clean up after.

Master folder Jonathan Baxter is coming to the Origami Dojo to teach kids how to make a whole menagerie of cute canines, friendly felines and precocious parrots with a single sheet of paper.

You know what they say — give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fold a piece of paper into a fish, and you feed his imagination for a lifetime. That’s a saying, yeah?

The classes are aimed at eight-year-olds and up, and will be conducted at the Graceville Presbyterian Church Hall in Banks Road, Graceville, on July 8, 9 and 10.

The two-hour workshops will run twice a day, starting at 9:30am and 1:30pm.

The workshop sessions cost $35 per student and all materials are supplied. Family discounts are available, and parents and carers are invited to join in for free.
