Another long weekend awaits us in June and to celebrate, The Straddie Hotel has a stellar line-up prepared for its inaugural musical festival.

The Straddie Hotel has just announced the lineup for the first JUNEtunes music festival to be held on Sunday 8 June of the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

JUNEtunes will kick off at midday with Mark Fulcher, John Malcom, Erle Louk and Brisbane musician Adam James. The festival will continue into the evening with Rawr Vanity, Kingston Stompers, Pippi Lips, Asa Broomhall and GANGgajang to wrap up the night.

Headliner GANGgajang is an ’80s Australian band known for songs such as Sounds of Then, House of Cards and Gimme Some Lovin’.

General Manager of Straddie Michael Jackson says the hotel is looking forward to having a fantastic line-up of Australian bands perform on the island.

“The festival will be a great event for the locals and visitors coming over for the long weekend,” says Jackson.

Tickets start at $25 locals, and VIP ticket include a private bistro area with premium views of the stage, as well as an exclusive bar. There are also Stradbroke ferry deals available for festival goers.
