A cuisine dream will be formed at The Regatta Hotel on February 19, when four chefs present a gourmet dinner for Bocuse d’Or awareness.

Since 1987, Bocuse d’Or has been the most acclaimed chef championship in the world.

Almost the culinary equivalent of the Olympic Games, the event is a prestigious cooking competition, where preparation and cooking of all dishes is performed in front of a live audience.

Australia’s candidate for Bocuse d’Or 2015, Shannon Kellam, will be partnering with former champion, Serge Vieira, to serve up a six-course feast at The Regatta Hotel on February 19 to raise awareness for the championships.

Kellam says that to work with Vieria is not only an exciting opportunity for his Bocuse d’Or preparation, but beneficial for all Brisbane locals and food enthusiasts.

“To have a Michelin star chef in our state gives our community the rare opportunity to experience the highest level of culinary talent from the international stage,” says Kellam.

After winning the Bocuse d’Or in 2005, Vieira set up his own venue, which received a second Michelin star last year for its elegant menu.

Kellam and Vieira will be joining Executive Chef Shane Keighley and celebrity host Miguel Maestre to present the event.

Set in The Boatshed at The Regatta Hotel, the night is set to be whimsical with an exquisite selection of champagne and wine, followed by a six-course epicurean treat.
