Learn about classical music, radio production and Shakespeare in the 2014 4MBS Summer School!

You don’t have to be young to get a lot out of a summer school program. 4MBS Classical Radio in Brisbane is offering a summer school for adults and concessions that features workshops on classical music, radio production, and presenting Shakespeare.

It’s never too late to learn something new and if you’re after something interesting and engaging to do with your summer, then look no further.

This January, Brisbane classical music radio station 4MBS Classic FM will again hold its Summer School, giving lovers of fine music and drama the chance to broaden their knowledge!

4MBS ClassicFM was named Australia’s Radio Station of the Year at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s 2004 Awards.

Classical music fans will learn about the different music periods in the all-day Introduction to Classical Music Workshop, aspiring radio producers and presenters can pick up some skills at the three day Radio Course and lovers of the Bard will learn the physical craft of presenting Shakespeare in the four-day Shakespeare Workshop.

The 4MBS Summer School will also feature screenings of the documentary The Curse of the Gothic Symphony and the world-first screening of the full 2010 Brisbane performance of Havergal Brian’s Symphony No1 “Gothic”.

The program runs from Friday 4 January to Tuesday 14 January at the 4MBS Performance Studio in Coorparoo with different workshops and screenings ranging from $25 to $395.
