Personal trainer and TV personality Michelle Bridges will teach a free fitness class at South Bank.

According to new data from the Medibank Better Health Index, 68 per cent of Queenslanders regularly engage in sports and leisure activities.

To celebrate this encouraging finding, a special event featuring Michelle Bridges will be held as part of the Medibank Feel Good program on South Bank’s Little Stanley Street Lawn on Saturday 11 March.

Bridges, best known as a trainer on The Biggest Loser and as the creator of the 12 Week Body Transformation program, will lead a one-off, energetic workout suitable for all fitness levels from 7:15am.

Bridges will then stick around for a book signing and meet-and-greet from 8am.

For anyone who’s still got energy to burn after Bridges’ workout, there’ll be an Aqua Zumba session in the Boat Pool at 9:30am.

“It’s clear that Queenslanders love keeping fit,” says Bridges, “and what better way to do this than as a community, in stunning South Bank as part of the Medibank Feel Good Program? I’m encouraging all Brisbane locals to come on down on March 11 and get moving with me!”

If you’re keen, just bring a towel, a water bottle and a workout buddy. No additional equipment is required, you don’t need to book, and it’s all free.
